Is going to church a sign of weakness? Are churchgoers or Christians the only ones who need God? What do you think? I believe everyone needs God, and in the following lesson, I will give proof of that. Be blessed.
Matt 19:16
Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” NIV
Everyone fears death
We all know that someday we are going to die, and the truth is, we are afraid of it. Some people act like they are not scared of death, but deep down, everyone is. The decisions that we make in life all show how much we fear death. Such decisions as having a life policy and worshiping or appeasing the dead may all appear as normal, but deep down, they show how scared we are of dying. There are even religious beliefs that have been developed in order to immortalize the dead. This is just a cover-up to make death seem like its passages to another life, and that people aren’t really dying. Death is real, and if you are one of the afraid, I have good news for you. YOU NEED JESUS.
Rom 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. NIV
John 11:24-26
24 Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” NIV
Rev 1:7
18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades. NIV
Those who have Jesus with them have no time worrying over death. He is the resurrection and the life. In him, there is no end to life, only the beginning of it.
Mark 12:28-31
28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, “Of all the commandments, which is the most important?”…31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.” NIV
Everybody loves themselves
The reason why you take to the street without second-guessing yourself is that you love yourself. The reason why Mr or Mrs Ugly celebrates their titles is not that they hate themselves, or they would have hidden themselves, but because they love themselves. A person who hates self is likely to hide rather than come out in the open. I have seen people hide some parts of their bodies that they are uncomfortable with, and it’s perfectly normal, and still, they love themselves. When Jesus made this statement, it was because he knew the DNA nature that he put in us during creation. No man had ever noticed that since Adam. If you are among those who, after facing the mirror like what they see, then I have good news for you. YOU NEED JESUS.
Jer 1:5
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” NIV
Matt 10:30-31
30 And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31 So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. NIV
Ps 139:13-14
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. NIV
Jesus loves us and knows us all by name. It would be a great loss to us if we choose to disassociate ourselves with him. If a worker bee separates itself from the queen bee, it will eventually die. It is the same principle with God; if we separate ourselves from him, our life loses every meaning. This can lead to feelings of emptiness, sin, and disconnection, and that’s why the bible says in Acts 17:28 for in him we live and move and have our being.

Eccl 10:19
19 A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes life merry, but money is the answer for everything. NIV
Everybody wants money
Money is the most sought-after resource in the world. Others include water, food, shelter, and healthcare. It’s often interpreted as saying money can provide comfort and solutions, that it can influence people and outcomes, but true fulfilment? That’s a different story. If you need money, then I have good news for you. YOU NEED JESUS.
Deut 8:18
18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today. NIV
Matt 6:6-8
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. NIV
Ps 37:25-26
25 I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread. 26 They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed. NIV
Matt 6:33
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. NIV
Prov 15:16-17
16 Better is a little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and turmoil with it. 17 Better is a dish of vegetables where love is than a fattened ox served with hatred. NIV
Eccl 5:10
10 Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This, too, is meaningless.
John 4:9-14
9 The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” 11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?” 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” NIV
True fulfilment will only come to a soul that is thirsty after God. Money will only provide temporal comfort and solutions for us, but it’s accepting Jesus as our personal saviour that satisfies our inner souls forever. Christ has promised us an abundant life. He knows all our needs even before we ask of them. Dear brother and sister, choose Christ today and gain more fulfilment than before.
Matt 7:12
12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. NIV
Everybody wants justice
There are so many answers that we seek in life. Many of these remain unanswered. Our quest for justice remains unsolved. Where can we get the answers about the Holocausts, Massacres, Apartheid, Slavery, Racism, Genocides, Tribalism, Nationalism, Nepotism, the loss of our loved ones, our successes and failures, etc.? Many have searched but in vain. Today I bring good news. If you are seeking answers to everything that you have endured, YOU NEED JESUS.
John 5:21-23
21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honour the Son just as they honour the Father. He who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father, who sent him. NIV
Heb 4:14-16
14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet was without sin. 16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. NIV
Rev 21:1-5
21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” NIV
Our answer will come from Jesus. He will give us all the explanations we need at the close of time, and justice will eventually be served. I plead with you, brother and sister. Do not be caught on the wrong side. Choose Christ whilst the door of mercy is open, and all shall be well with you.
Rev 21:6-8
6 He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God, and he will be my son. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters, and all liars — their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur. This is the second death.” NIV
God bless you, and see you in our next lesson.
